Yes, Millie the Model, who was at one point modeled after a movie star, quits modelling and goes to Hollywood to become a movie star, because for some reason she thinks it will be easier or less of a pain than modeling.



I'm not usually a fan of the Stan G. - John T. art combination, but something about the sketchy inks works in this book. Certainly the 1960s fashions are fairly accurate; it's like seeing photos from Mad Men episodes, particularly an early scene where Millie is sporting Betty Francis' (nee Draper's) hair style. I have got to start using a spell check on these things. I've noticed I'm making a lot of really stupid typos. Part of this is that it gets batted out in a hurry before work on Thursday mornings, but I really shouldn't be misspelling "identify".

BTW we are watching every episode of Mad Men this season and loving every minute of it. There were some slow spots and low points in the third season; the show seemed to be meandering along, less about the business and more about some really tangential characters, but the series wrapped up well, season 4 was back to form, and this current season has been hitting it out of the park every time. Worst part is this season is nearly over and we'll have that interminable wait until the next one...
