This LP is very much from the mid 1970s school of Oriental Enlightenment; karate being sold as yet another mystical Eastern philosophy designed to bring peace to your troubled Western mind. Because Asians are so peaceful and tranquil!

It really is part and parcel with the Western image of bellydance - and I'm sure that Eastern cultures all think Europeans have secret seduction techniques and have mastered some sort of exotic deadly arts. The people on the other side of the hill ALWAYS have some kind of mysterious power, usually involving killing or sex.
