Yes, Discotek's DVD of 5 Dr. Slump movies is out and oh, oh, the madness, the memories.

For those wondering, there's 2 DVDs in the keepcase. Two movies on one disc, three on the other, plus subbed trailers for each movie.

The trailers are a bit odd, they feel more like 'local station ads' than national or theater ads. There's holes in the audio that make me think there's supposed to be a hyperthyroid local voice screaming theater and times details.

It looks glorious. Subtitles seem OK, they can't seem to tell the difference between nonsense words and complex wordplay at times. Arale's idiosyncratic greetings/farewells (N'Cha!) go untranslated.

This is a release that could have used some liner notes.

Anyway, BUY IT! BUY IT NOW! See Toriyama when he was actually funny!
