Our Found Sound this week is a single we picked up at Vortex Records on Yonge St, a great record store in a location that's tough to park at sometimes. But they have a lot of stuff and good prices and they're open late.

Got it mostly for the sleeve art; the actual music is pretty scratchy typical kids music, Peter Pan Records not being a prestige recording label.

Speaking of music, Stupid Comics features scenes from Harvey Pop Comics #1, The Cowsills! Yes, the Cowsills, America's Family Band, who had a string of late 60s folk-pop hits and of whom a documentary was made that's showing on Showtime right now. The documentary probably does not feature any scenes like this:

And of course Zero Fighter and Element Of Surprise are updating regularly every Sunday. I just bought some new brushes so I need to get to work on this week's strip, in addition to all the other things I need to get moving on. The next two months are generally the busiest time of the year for me, for some reason. At least it feels like the busiest.

How did I miss this? Did you know the song "The Yellow Rose Of Texas" was written about a mixed-race housekeeper?
