davemerrillYesterday was deemed a day to appreciate your guns in America, and boy did we. Five people were shot at gun shows in North Carolina, Ohio and Indiana. These were not, however, the only instances of gun violence yesterday.
These aren't escaped lunatics, these aren't scary ethnic gang-bangers, these aren't Christian Identity terrorists - these are your friends and neighbors, who are absolutely convinced that THEY are responsible gun owners who know ALL ABOUT GUN SAFETY and THEY would NEVER use their firearms in such an irresponsible fashion. Except they did and they do and they are going to keep doing it, they are going to continue to be a danger to themselves and others, and any time you bring up the fact that shooting themselves and others might be a bad idea, they start threatening to kill people. Because they're responsible gun owners who aren't crazy. Right?
