It's typical of me that I learned the term "Hootenanny" from the George Lincoln Rockwell interview in PLAYBOY, as he boasted to Alex Haley of how the American Nazi Party raised money by performing "Hate-nannies." Later portrayed, of course, by Marlon Brando and James Earl Jones in ROOTS.
