AWA is going to have skits again! FINALLY! Why did AWA ever get rid of those skits anyway? Was it my incessant threats of violence? The indifference of the crowd? The twenty-minute interpretative-dance Fushigi Yugi skit? The endless parade of demented man-children waving their hands at each other pretending to fire magical force beams?
Finally the skit-hungry masses will have somewhere to go.

In other news it's Thursday after a punishing work week and I still gotta go in today for the sweet OT. But you can still have fun listening to Peter Sellers comedy at Found Sound. It's from 1959!



BTW if you have been commenting here as "anonymous" because you don't have a LJ account, and you notice your replies take a little while to appear, it's because I have all anonymous replies set to require my approval. On the one hand, I always had an immense respect for AWA's refusal to allow skits at all. On the other hand, if you're going to have skits, I reckon this sort of "skit plague ward" room is the way to do it.

The staff running the thing will have to be coerced or insane.

Like taping the skits and throwing them on the utubeything and gather massive 'hits' or 'eyeballs' (does anyone use that term anymore?) which I guess, somehow magically makes one rich or powerful or something.

Yeahright, and nobody will try to sneak past the 'no begging signs' and 'don't marco/polo' and 'don't clog the halls with your cosplay attention need' and such. No fire alarms will be pulled.

OK, actually, the fire alarm thing might work out and nobody will do it. I seem to recall a couple years it didn't happen.

Odds are, eventually the infinite monkeys and infinite typewriters, or skit writers and their skit plans, will eventually turn out something good.
