Today, because it's Canada Day,Found Sound presents some Canadian humorous - sorry, HUMOUROUS, sorry, songs by "The Brothers In Law" that take a satirical look at the important issues facing Canadians sometime in the mid 1960s. It's amazing that the Canadian flag, one of the most iconic, sharpest-looking flags in the world, was the flashpoint of controversy when it was introduced. But it was and we've got a song about it! Also a song about the RCMP, because when they aren't tracking down renegade loggers in the frozen North, they're spying on suspected commies. No, seriously. Tonight we're gonnna go down to the lakeshore and watch some fireworks, and in the meantime, enjoy these songs!

Isn't that something? The "Rally Around the New Flag" mentions the doctors on strike in the prairies. And why were they striking?

I also found out who sang the "Rally Round the Flag" song.

Or at least, in the email, he says, "I hate to tell you this ____, but I actually remember that ditty."
