Yup, that actually was an earthquake I felt a little while ago; a 5.5 centered around Ottawa. It felt to me like the entire building was sitting on top of a giant, slow, off-balance washing machine... a slow, rolling motion. Shain saw pictures rattle on the walls. Kinda cool!!

Should you check the foundations?

Just to be sure?

Glad to hear you're ok.

I don't think they'll let me under the street without a pass from the City Engineers office, but I'm pretty sure things will be OK.

We felt it in Cambridge: I was sitting at my desk, thinking that my chair was wobbly. I then noticed that this swinging Korean doll that I have hanging off of a bookshelf was swinging, and my hanging plant was swaying, too. I asked one coworker who didn't feel it and another who had and thought she was imagining it or just needed to go eat something. We need an In-n-Out Burger to come here and we'll be JUST LIKE CALIFORNIA.

There weren't any earthquakes when you visited Japan? I don't think I've ever visited without there being an earthquake.

I guess Japan just likes you more.

I am not sure that "like" is the word I would use.

Reached as far as Grand Rapids. Hit about 1:45, according to all the news reports but it's somewhat lost now that yet another severe storm is tracking thru the south part. Yeesh.

Funny thing, I didn't notice it, or feel it! People are saying stuff was shaking and man, no evidence of that to my eyes. Very strange.

I think it's the Aluminum Hell Nazis from the hollow Earth, meself. And the US Army's secret corps of mole tanks.

I guess I was home by the time it happened, but felt nothing in my area (Toledo). Never been through one yet in my life!
