Tomorrow night the Trash Palace will play host to a Toronto Tezuka thrill trip as the '61 color classic explodes across the big screen in glorious 16mm! And the only question is: ARE YOU GONNA BE THERE, THERE BEING THE LOCATION OF THE LOVE-IN? Doors open at 8:30, movie starts at 9:30, 9:45 is when the long-haired rock dude shows up with his current trophy girlfriend to huff disgustedly at the lack of seating. Torontonians are welcome to drop by our secret Toy Factory lair and we'll get noodles or something before we walk the 4 blocks to the secret Trash Palace location - make sure to ditch work early to pick up your tix at Eyesore! Cash only.

So they do this all on raggy 16mm film, right? I mean, there can't be too many good copies of this out there...

Still, it would be an experience.

Too bad they can't look around and see if by some chance there was an 'international' version of Flying Phantom Ship hanging around. Seeing that on a screen would be pretty awesome.

They have a pretty good video projector, also. I should start bugging them to let me come in on a Saturday sometime and show old cartoons on video.

Again, if I knew of a place like that in town, I'd be doing the same as well!

Is it me, or does that poster contain 0% Alakazam the Great? I see nothing monkey-like on the entire image.

It's just one of several lobby cards. I do have one with the monkey in it though. :-)

No, but it does have the little satan boy calling Satan on the visi-phone via a telephone he pulled out of his shorts.

I picked this lobby card up at Reed Books in B'ham, they had a whole slew of Alakazam lobby cards but I only had enough cash for one.

Man, I miss Reed Books.

Still that satan boy was a pretty killer design.

I picked up my Alakazam lobby card in a record show one year that was just down the street from my house. I think the same guy or some other dealer there had issues of Animage and Newtype from the 80's I could've bought as well but sadly could only afford a roman art book of Gundam 0079 anyway, so many missed opportunities.
