We will have the fix up for your gay panic trucker song in a little while, relax. Also up today will be Stupid Comics. You know... we have lives and jobs and sometimes things like that take priority over goofy stuff we put on the internets for free.
There is a great article about the Replacements up on SLATE that I totally missed last month, but if you want to know all about America's only favorite rock band that was never America's favorite rock band, it's all there.
The studio area is slowly transmogrifing and settling back into place. I still have some rearranging to do, and it's iffy as to how much of that is going to take place this weekend because I gotta work. Also the weather is warming up and we will probably go outside at some point, find some nature and marvel at its non-frozen state. The studio has been put back together enough to allow me to dig out some art supplies and get my hands messy again, which is nice, it's been three weeks at least since I did any drawing at all. I start gettin' squirrely if I don't draw.
Word on the street, Huggy Bear, is that my Anime Hell at Anime North will be on Friday night instead of Saturday night, and it'll be in the hotel's main ballroom instead of two opened-up main video rooms, and it'll start at 10pm and go until Midnight, at which point I will most likely take a short break and then do Old School Classroom until 2am. This frees up Saturday night for me to have a room party or whatever. Downside is that I won't be able to do the Nominoichi on Friday night, but that's OK, I think I've sold all the junk I need to sell. Anime North is May 28-30. I should probably go ahead and reserve my hotel room now.
In the meantime if you're intending to come to Anime Weekend Atlanta - and why not? - and you have an idea for a panel about your favorite Japanese cartoon or other subject tangentially related to Japanese cartoons, why not drop me an email at davidrmerrill@yahoo.com or terebifunhouse@gmail.com and tell me about it? You'll be glad you did. AWA is September 17-19.
In the meantime, you should do something to help the victims of the disaster in Haiti. If you have money to waste on comic books and cartoons and assorted nonsense, you have money to help the suffering.
