Yeah, it's a month later. Let's see. Had to get a tire plugged on the car which meant getting the flat off the car which meant getting the jack out, which meant finding where the jack is kept, since this was the first time I've ever used the jack in the ten years I've owned this car. Lucky, I guess. Back in Doraville I was constantly getting flats, due to the nails and screws strewn across suburban Atlanta's roadways by the constant home construction, but here it's a little different, I guess. Weather has finally warmed up so we got outside.

There have been several new Stupid Comics at Mister Kitty since last I posted, and the most recent is a 1941 strip by Dave "The Lighter Side Of..." Berg called "Death Patrol", and it's just what you think it is, if what you think it is is a quasi-Blackhawk fighting squad with a rotating cast of members. They keep dying, you see.

Let's Anime is back with a look at the neglected Go Nagai property God Mazinger, the Mazinger series that even the super robot fanatics have forgotten about, or never knew about in the first place, maybe. It's a trip 20,000 years back in time to 1984 as I look at both the apocalyptic, ultra-violent manga and the non-apocalyptic, not unduly violent anime.

right now I am knee-deep in prepping panels for Anime North and Anime Next, so if you don't see me posting here, that's what I'm up to!
