I am still drawing disgraced religious figures at my Tumblr!
This guy runs a popular youth ministry - AND dresses up like a cop and pulls people over on the interstate! Just got out of jail too. So if you're driving around Birmingham and you get pulled over, it may just be a pretend cop!
Still doing Stupid Comics at Mr Kitty! This week - well, actually last week - was a driver's ed comic published by B.F. Goodrich sometime in the 50s.
The upcoming Stupid Comics is all about aliens. Anyway I am also working on getting Anime Hell together for this year's Anime North. The big events are moving a block north to the North Building of the TCC, so I have to get the word out on the big move for Anime Hell. Hopefully the crowd will make the trek and feel it's worth the sore feet.
TCAF is coming up in a week and I really haven't got any plans other than to get some stuff signed by Lynda Barry and maybe Charles Burns, and if they give talks I'll listen to those. I may get $20 in loonies & toonies and buy some zines from some small press people. Haven't got enough disposable income right now to buy any of the more amazing books that are coming out these days - they're amazing, but they're pricey.
Coming up in July is Con Bravo and I talked to the chair Mark at the last AN staff meeting and he's interested in getting us to do a Stupid Comics panel at the show, and maybe some kind of Hell style crazy clip show thing. I think our big vacation will be a car trip down South for my parents' wedding anniversary in August. So stay tuned for more summertime fun!
