Jan. 12th, 2014 11:33 amLiberty Village news: the place that replaced Liberty Noodle is gone. The Chinese place is now a Thai/Malaysian place. The dance studio moved across the alley and has been replaced by a Tim Horton's, which means Liberty Village has finally met the criteria necessary to be a True Canadian Neighbuourhoud. It also means there are, let's see, one, two, three, four places within one block of here willing to sell me a cup of coffee.
Went out yesterday in the fog.

Took a bunch of stuff to the thrift store, like 3 bags full of junk. Found some cheap books, so it evens out. Had a late lunch/early dinner at the Italian place on the Queensway across from the Sobeys and proved my contention that Italian food in Toronto is a wee bit upscale compared to, say, Atlanta. Good, though. Dropped by the comic shop on Queen that used to have the great old signage about its previous occupant, the chiropractor, and picked up some cheap old comics. Dropped by the new Tim's and had some coffee and donuts - this is NOT going to be a habit. Just a very occasional thing. Hear that, willpower? Spent the rest of the night watching reality TV about stalkers - the episode with Colleen Doran taught me I've been pronouncing "Doran" wrong all this time - and a couple of scary movies, and enduring the horror of realizing that I have too many comics and I need to start culling (again).
Today I need to quit goofin' around and finish this Let's Anime piece, which is going to be split into 2 parts because it's a long one. Then it's time for drawing. Also need to get groceries at some point.
