off to Anime North

It was warmer yesterday than it was all of last summer. Nice to go outside and have it actually be warm for a change! Got Neil from the airport, dropped him off here. Kitty was offended that we let a total stranger into our place. Lord knows every time somebody comes into our house they immediately start hollering and trying to grab Miss Kitty with their terrible claws. Who knows what horrifying plans they have? She's been gotten so many times and has had to suffer so much abuse, like, say, NONE AT ALL. Someday we'll have a cat that isn't insane. I hadda go to work so I went to work, and then afterwards we went out and got some dinner and took Neil back to the Doubletree.

Today we pack up and go on down to Anime North and I spend the weekend doing the Anime North thing. Weather's supposed to be nice and hopefully things go well. If you are not going to Anime North you should download every issue of THE JOURNAL OF MODOK STUDIES and then read this letter that Bob Heinlein once wrote Forrest J. Ackerman where he describes SF fans as "a bunch of neurotic, selfish, childish, insensitive and unimaginative, vicious bunch of jerks!" Thanks to Devlin for bringing the Letters Of Note blog post to my attention.

If you need to get ahold of me this weekend I'll be over at the Sheraton making sure workshops go as needed - lord help anybody who needs any kind of supplies or equipment, because other than the amateur voice acting thing I have not been informed of any requirements whatsoever - and of course tonight at 10 it's HELL TIME at the Doubletree.
