Happy Mother's Day!! Call your mom!

Friday: Dr's appointment for physical, little shopping, editing anime clips together. LD player was involved.

Saturday: AN meeting. Productive, laid ground for next year's changes. TCAF for about half an hour before they closed, amazing wind & rain. Bought Jason Thompson's KING OF RPGs and REAL DEAL COMICS from Dan Nadel, which is amazing, and got Devlin's poster. Finished editing clips of 30 year old Japanese cartoons. Had amazing non-service in grocery store which will not be recieving a return visit.

to do today: call my mom. Send tentative workshop schedule to a few people. Also start more editing together of video clips. First step: make list. Draw Zero Fighter page. Probably redraw some of last week's page too. Tomorrow: return to lab for blood work portion of physical, which means no food and precious little water after 9pm tonight. Lookin' forward to that Monday morning, oh yeah.

That is EXACTLY what I mean. "THE SHIT'S ON!!!!" It's an astonishing piece of work. I bought it from Dan "Art Out Of Time" Nadel, he had a table at TCAF.

REAL DEAL is the reason Bakune Young "commenced to squabble" and Excel told Elgala to "keep her 'jib' shut!" (REAL DEAL uses the Kirby quotes). REAL DEAL was doing PRISON PIT fifteen years ago, in the "Planet Dregs" storyline. Well, I could go on about REAL DEAL for some time--but I need to work on CARDCAPTOR SAKURA...

I will say one thing, though--I met the creators of REAL DEAL one year in San Diego, and told them how much I liked their comic, but there was just one thing I didn't understand--what was the ubiquitous beverage, "yak"? "Cognac," they explained, which made it awfully embarrassing that I hadn't picked up on the term, seeing as I've been drinking it since I was fifteen, thanks to Osamu Dezaki.
