And kudos to Chris for putting forth the first anti-fanart statement I've read that makes actual sense, instead of the usual "waste of time"/"waste of effort"/"ew gross, nerds having fun" crap. I don't agree with his stance, but it's nice to see actual logic going into it, rather than the desire to look down one's nose at others.
