We've completed week five of Shain working where I work - did I mention that? Shain works where I work now; our receptionist went on maternity leave just before Halloween and they hired Shain to replace her on a one year contract around the first of December.
I was allowed to shift my schedule to match hers so we're going in at 8:30am, which means we're getting up at a time that previously we had never regularly had to get up at, like, never in our adult lives. I believe my entire lifetime employment history has been an attempt to avoid getting up early. Anyway, we're doing it, and the practical effect is that lunches and coffee is prepped the night before and we're in the sack by 10:30pm.
We had to move our holiday trip around some to accommodate and wound up being in Atlanta for basically two full days; drove down starting Friday afternoon, got to Atlanta Saturday, left Atlanta Tuesday afternoon, was back in Toronto on Wednesday night. Saved a little money on the cat sitter, I guess.
Anyway it gave me time to finish a Let's Anime for the year:
http://letsanime.blogspot.com/2018/12/harmagedon-outta-here.html
which is a recounting of our trip to see Harmagedon at the Japan Center in Toronto, and the film itself. We've also gotten back on track with Stupid Comics.

We did get to see Devlin while in Georgia, but everybody else was booked or sick. We may wind up making another trip down there in the Summer so hopefully we'll get to see everybody then. Or they can just get themselves up here: just head to Detroit, take a right at the river, and stop when you get to the CN Tower. Or, from the east, just head for Niagara Falls and keep going around the lake until you get to, yes, the CN Tower.
