taxes are taxing
Mar. 17th, 2016 08:01 pmThis week's Stupid Comics is CAPTAIN TAX TIME, who is a Captain who Taxes Time, or something. This really bad comic was written by a owner/operator of a Tax Time franchise, which was a Canadian tax prep outfit that as near as I can tell isn't in business any more.
The comic itself is a bad super hero comic, faces are avoided, crowds are avoided, anything that isn't a muscled figure in a tight outfit with a masked face is avoided. It's padded like crazy, panel to panel transitions are all over the map, the story is nonsensical nonsense about catching drug dealers and giving their money to the government to forestall the hated G.S.T. tax, which is a real thing that actually did happen. The actual story behind the G.S.T. and how PM Brian Mulroney had to, like, go to the Queen of England and get her to let him appoint 8 new Senators so he could get the bill passed, it's crazier than anything that happens in this comic.
Been super busy with this, getting Hell together, trying to get a Let's Anime done before April, going out to the sticks to buy crazy antiques, and the usual amount of laundry and groceries and work and stuff. We go to Boston next weekend for Anime Boston!
