I know this makes me sound like a grandpa, but it's going to snow tomorrow, I can feel it in my joints. It's the kind of dropping barometric pressure that, prior to my prescription to allopurinol, would have resulted in a nice painful gout attack. We're supposed to get, I dunno, five inches throughout tonight and tomorrow. It might be enough to really screw up traffic, and then again, it might not.
Worked on Saturday, so on Sunday I ditched the AN staff meeting and we went out into the hinterlands and bought some cheap old comics and a VHS of the classic Korean fake-anime classic "Goldwing". Hey, any time I can buy golden age Pogo comics for $2 each, I'll take it. I don't think I missed anything at the meeting that I can't get done via email. In fact the older I get, the stronger the urge to ditch these staff meetings gets. Driving out to the airport, paying to park, and listening to people talk about their maid cafes and their game shows for two hours in a room packed with coughing nerds is looking less and less attractive. I got things to do like laundry, groceries, fixing curtain pull cords, and watching the Oscars, which I enjoyed.
Oh yeah, also finished this flyer for the Anime Boston Anime Hell next month.

And I spent some quality time batting thru my next Let's Anime, should be done sometime in March. And reading the Elvis Costello book and Bart Beatty's 12-CENT ARCHIE and finishing up Kliph Nesterhoff's COMEDIANS, all of which are terrific books. So that was the weekend. I need another one of those.
