Yeah, it's snowing again out there. Back down below freezing. Okay then, winter.
I've lost some weight so I went out and bought some new smaller dress pants and took a bunch of pairs of old dress pants that don't fit any more to the Goodwill, along with some shirts and a suit. The suit never really fit anyway. I've always been bad about buying clothes too big for me, because I saw David Byrne in 'Stop Making Sense' and never got over it. Seriously though, tight clothes are uncomfortable. Of course, the main issue is that clothes that don't fit are uncomfortable. Which is what my new pants are, two sizes smaller and still too large. Right now I'm kind of at a halfway size, I guess.
The new Stupid Comics is our first ever manga Stupid Comics, an actual Japanese manga. Of course logic dictates that there must be zillions of really stupid Japanese comics, but when the manga boom was happening over here, most of the titles were not anything we were interested in, and cost $10 each. It's only in the past few years that vast reservoirs of terrible English-language manga have opened up at an entry level price that meets our budget. Anyway, this one is the second half of the "Demon City Shinjuku" manga, which is a 2002 series based on a 1988 video which is based on a 1982 novel.
Zero Fighter, Georgie Girls, and Behind The Blue Door also updated last week and will continue to update this week. Georgie Girls features a situation any anime or TV reviewer will be intimately familiar with, so look out.
I have finished up my research and editing for one of my Anime North panels, which leaves 3 more to go, including Anime Hell. Made a list, crossin' stuff off it, kaboom.
