Nov. 15th, 2013 12:08 pmWhere DID that week go? Good question. Ask Toronto mayor Rob Ford, who followed a really terrible week last week with a double-down week of terrible this week. At this point he's an embarrassment to Toronto, to Ontario, to Canada, and perhaps all of North America.
Speaking of embarrassing, Mad Magazine once released a single that was nothing but embarrassing sounds of burping set to music! Who would want that? Millions of Mad Magazine readers, apparently.
And where would Supergirl be without Comet The Super Horse? She'd be riding an ordinary non-flying horse, that's what. But what is the secret origin of Comet? It may surprise you, because it's sort of stupid.
What have WE been up to, you ask? Working, and enjoying the crisp fall weather just about to get really cold, and watching old episodes of ADAM-12 and new episodes of THE BRIDGE, which went from engaging and atmospheric police/culture thing to cliched super-genius super-criminal thing and back to engaging and atmospheric just in time for the season to end. I like the characters but I don't know if I'm on board for season 2.
Bob's Burgers has, with the latest episode MY BIG FAT GREEK BOB, shot right back to its former glory. I'm not saying the early episodes in this season have been weak, just not up to the high Bob standards of noisy cross-talking and scripts that go all over the map, which the latest one had in spades.
