so how was your weekend

Saturday I polished off another article for the Colony Drop print zine, we went to the Thompson Street for lunch and saw zombie bicyclists invade the joint, battled crosstown traffic to go to the Home Depot for a piece of lumber, and I spent the rest of the evening reconfiguring my computer desk; measuring, drilling, bracing, that kinda thing. Sunday we went down to the antique market at St. Lawrence and I picked up some cheap old comics. Donald and David came over and we finished watching Yamato 2199, which I just enjoyed the holy hell out of. It's a remake that follows the spirit of the original, while taking great liberties with the letter of the law, and the expansion and recalibration of the show is like the difference between mono and stereo, between black and white and color. I don't want it to end, and I'm looking forward to the film they'll be doing next year.
About midnight I got to work on the Zero Fighter and it finally got done around 3am, and so now I'm kinda tired. Next weekend we'll just lie around or something.
