the owls are not what they seem

Leaving work on Wednesday night; sitting in the car waiting for it to warm up, something flies into the tree in front of my car. It's an owl. I don't know that I've seen an owl in a non-zoo setting in, like, ever. The owl sits on the branch watching everybody walk out of the building and get in their cars, his head swivelling left and right, looking for whatever prey is still out and about and hasn't gone into hibernation yet. That's Don Mills for you; foxes, owls, rabbits, raccoons, skunks, and the occasional deer hustling its way across the DVP.

Because it's about the time Betty got hit on the head and lost her memory and became a mud wrestler. Hard to get dirtier than that!!

This is the last Stupid Comics until sometime in January because next week we're packing up and heading to Atlanta for the Xmas. Looking forward to the drive and hoping the heavy snow holds off until sometime in 2013.

it's a great time to talk about gun control

I've been a firm believer and a proponent of private gun ownership for years. All my life in fact. Yup, I'm a voting Democrat liberal who's owned guns, shot at a competitive level, have a pretty good idea of what they can do. I like guns. Guns are great.

And I'm at the point now- the point where I have to be very precise in WHICH GODDAMN MASSACRE I'M TALKING ABOUT SINCE THERE HAVE BEEN SO GODDAMN MANY - that I'm done with 'em.

It's obvious you can't be trusted with firearms, America. You can't handle them correctly, you can't use them properly, you don't know when to say enough is enough. You start boo-hooing and pitching a little baby fit when anybody suggests you might need some licensing or some training or maybe they should be put up for a while until you grow the hell up. Whaaa. Boo hoo hoo. Don't take my gun away mommy, I promise I'll be good.

How many more GODDAMN MASSACRES do we need? How many is too many? One more mall shooting? Two more school shootings? Three more murders-suicide-by-cops before we take the toys away?

I'm done with you, guns. I'm done sticking up for you, Second Goddamn Amendment, you and your 'well regulated militia' that's NEVER AROUND WHEN YOU NEED IT, crying like a pissy bitch whenever anybody starts talking about "gun control".

"Gun Control", huh. We could all use some of that.
