your update from me
Dec. 16th, 2011 01:06 amLike most everybody else I haven't been posting as much on the LJ, and much of that is because this time of year is when things get really busy with shopping and all that Xmasy sort of thing. I've been trying to get one more Let's Anime out before the end of the year so I'll at least match 2010 in terms of post counts. Once we hit the road next Thursday - yes, this time next Thursday I hope to be sleeping soundly in a Motel 6 somewhere in West Virginia - I will not have a moment's spare time until sometime in January when our plane returns us from Los Angeles and my brief, shining moment in the nerd spotlight.
In the meantime you can hit Found Sound and enjoy a big whack of standup from some TV comedy stars like Bob Newhart, Don Knotts, and Johnathan Winters. You can also saddle up for some stupid Western comics starring everybody's favorite cowboy John Wayne.

Yes, John Wayne had his own comic book and his own sidekick and his own typeface and logo, it appears to be. Don't miss even a moment of the exciting Western action involving ghost towns and jugglers! Yes, jugglers.
To be honest I have way too many Western comics, mostly Kid Colt, Two Gun Kid, etc, from back in the day when I'd buy anything that was old and cheap. You'd think more westerns would be fodder for Stupid Comics, but it's a frightfully dull genre. When I start to think about dispensing of entire categories of comics, the westerns are top of the list, I believe.
