third post attempt

China House on Eglinton is closing down and they're having a fixture sale. It's one of those old-school restaurants with tacky lacquered wood, big traditional art and carvings, a little bridge over a fish pond, red wallpaper, you name it. The food wasn't the greatest but the atmosphere of "tacky mid-60s Chinese restaurant" was perfect. Anyway we got some small bowls, some teacups, some plates, and some big skinny mixed-drinks glasses. Went to the antique sale at the brick works and there was some neat stuff but boy oh boy their prices. $45 for kitschy educational drink-your-milk posters from the 60s? I dunno, maybe it's worth it, but not to me, not right now.

Came home and worked on the new Zero Fighter strip which I feel turned out pretty good. That and the new Element Of Surprise are both up at Mister Kitty. Then we went out and rode our bikes for a while down by the lake. For cheapy bikes they are holding up pretty well. I still need to get my seat lowered, though. Then we got ice cream and watched a movie and then it was bedtime.

I have today and Tuesday off and then I go to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and then Saturday and Sunday is Con Bravo out in Burlington. Sunday is the Mr. Kitty Stupid Comics Live Presentation which I am still collating material for.

So sometime in the next two days I need to finish a Let's Anime column, get the Stupid Comics panel squared away, get Found Sound and Stupid Comics done, see Captain America, and probably go to the grocery store. I know that Weds-Fri I will not be able to do much of anything other than go to work and come back home and collapse.
