a decade of awesome
Jan. 8th, 2011 01:25 pmJust emailed Teletoon to tell them that while it's awesome they are running ASTRO, LE PETIT ROBOT on their French language Retro channel, why not give the Anglophones some ASTRO love and run it in English? Huh?
Bell ran a special deal involving an upgrade to HD cable, so now we have the DVR and HD channels and a modem that includes wireless. Apparently the last modem we had included wireless but nobody, you know, told us, so we were a wireless hotspot X2 there for a while! (both protected, of course, though I can see U of T's signal is wide open.) So that's what I spent most of yesterday doing, watching Astro Boy in French and the National Geographic channel in HD.
We are continuing to take time off from Mister Kitty, though we should be back to action next week. Shain's getting over a cold and I am trying not to get one.
Speaking of Shain, it's been ten years now since we got together, since we both turned our lives upside down and threw caution to the wind and I flew to Buffalo and met Shain and we drove down to Atlanta in her rickety car. The car wound up being abandoned in an Oldsmobile dealership off Memorial Drive, our apartment in Atlanta vanished in the rear view mirror of the U-Haul we loaded all our stuff into for the drive north, and we now inhabit the snow-covered metropolis of Toronto (as opposed to the currently snow covered metropolis of Atlanta), and we're still together. I love you, baby!
