This weekend we discovered that Gawker Media's servers were compromised, resulting in a security breach at Lifehacker, Gizmodo, Gawker, Jezebel, io9, Jalopnik, Kotaku, Deadspin, and Fleshbot. As a result, the user name and password associated with your comment account were released on the internet. If you're a commenter on any of our sites, you probably have several questions.

I don't even know what "Jalopnik" is. io9 is one of those Boing Boing Neatorama type sites that posts "cool links" to "cool things", their definition of "cool" being cakes people decorate to look like video games, computers people wear on their heads, things made out of Legos, and anything that has anything whatsoever to do with Star Wars. I think "Deadspin" is what Gawker Media's going to be going into shortly. And if you ever commented there, ever, apparently your comment account was hacked and your personal information distributed to Wikileaks who will soon be telling the world you like to comment on websites. So don't say you haven't been warned!

BTW, Gigantor says "Merry Christmas"!
