an impromptu journey
Feb. 16th, 2010 11:49 amOn a whim Shain and I made a Valentine's day trip to Boston. Well, to Somerville and Cambridge, mainly. We ate a lot of good food and saw some crazy movies and did a little shopping and got caught up with people we don't get to see a lot of, people like
animejump and
hooverdam and
tacohime and Christian and Neil Nadelman and our hosts Carol and Mike.
If there's anything interesting between, say, Buffalo NY and Boston, we have yet to find it. Not much going on in Herkimer NY, other than two old guys sequeing from discussing the Georgian killed at the Olympics to discussing Joseph Stalin (he was from Georgia).
The Tops supermarket on Niagara Falls Blvd (near the intersection of Niagara Falls Blvd and I-190) has a discount DVD bin with a lot of copies of that Catcom release of the 1962 Toei Sindbad movie. Just so's ya know.
The weather was great, really mild for this time of year. None of the snow that's plaguing parts south. Totally blew off updating Zero Fighter. And now we're back home and Kitty is emotionally damaged from her solitude and needs constant reassurance and love in the form of pettings. Back to the salt mines, I guess.
